The deliverable
Your Command Center
One place where every number you own finally sits together — and answers questions instead of just listing balances.
Illustration of a finished Command Center. Every household's looks different — it's built around the accounts and goals you actually have.
The modules
Eight things it does that a spreadsheet doesn't
Net worth, in one honest number
Every account you named — checking, savings, retirement, brokerage, HSA, 529, home, vehicles — against every dollar you owe. Not an estimate pulled from a login, but the figures you provided, organized so the total means something.
- Assets and liabilities grouped the way you think about them
- Liquid versus retirement versus property, separated
- Month-over-month movement, so you see direction and not just position
- Your own nicknames on every account, because “XXXX-4471” tells you nothing
Cash flow that survives a real month
Built from your actual transaction history where you provide it — not from a budget you guessed at in January. Fixed costs, variable costs, irregular annual costs, and what's genuinely left.
- Income normalized to monthly, whatever your pay cycle
- Categorized spending with annual and irregular costs pulled out separately
- A per-category comparison of typical versus this month
- Available margin — the number that decides what's actually possible
Starter does not include spending analysis. Custom, Guided and Managed include it to the extent you provide transaction history — and credit-card history is always optional.
Debt modeling with the rates included
Most trackers ask for a balance and a payment and stop. Without the APR, a payoff date is fiction. We collect balance, rate, required payment and due date for every debt, so the math is real.
- Payoff dates for each debt and for the whole picture
- Total interest projected under your current payments
- Highest-rate-first versus smallest-balance-first, with the actual dollar difference
- What one extra $100, $250 or $500 a month does to the finish line
- Installment loans modeled against their original term and maturity date
Goals with a date attached
A goal without a number and a date is a wish. Each of yours gets a target, a current position, a required monthly contribution and an honest on-pace indicator.
- Required monthly savings to hit each target on time
- On pace, behind, or ahead — calculated, not guessed
- What happens to the timeline if you add or pause contributions
- Conflicts surfaced when two goals want the same dollar
Scenarios: the “what if” engine
The part clients open most. Change one input and watch the consequence ripple through every other number.
- Paying off a specific debt early
- A raise, bonus or tax refund
- Buying or refinancing a home
- A vehicle purchase or replacement
- College and education costs
- Job change or income loss
- A major planned purchase or trip
- Increasing retirement contributions
Scenarios are mathematical illustrations based on the information you provide — not predictions, and not investment, tax or legal advice.
Questions Worth Asking
A short list, written for your situation, of the questions your own numbers raise. Not a lecture and not a sales pitch — prompts you can take to a CPA, an attorney, a lender or a licensed advisor, or simply think about over coffee.
- “Two of your cards carry rates above 24%. Is consolidation worth pricing out?”
- “Your emergency fund covers 2.1 months of fixed costs. Is that the number you want?”
- “You're contributing 4% and your employer matches 6%. Worth a conversation with HR?”
- “Your auto loan matures eleven months before your lease decision. Does that change anything?”
The PurposeBuilt Scorecard
The Scorecard compares one thing only: where you said you wanted to go versus where you are now. It is not a financial-health grade. It does not compare you to national averages, to your neighbors, or to anyone else's benchmark.
| What you told us you wanted | Where you are now | Movement |
|---|---|---|
| “Six months of expenses saved” | 2.1 months | +0.6 months since setup |
| “Credit cards gone by 2028” | On pace for Sept 2027 | 11 months ahead |
| “Know what a house move actually costs” | Modeled, three versions | Answered |
| “Stop being surprised by the annual bills” | All seven identified and dated | Answered |
